Oh 2019… You’ve been a hard one.
I’ve faced some things this year that I had no idea I would be facing. It’s been one of those years that I’ve lost a lot, hurt a lot, and found myself crying in the shower more times than I can count.
I’m so ready for a new year and a new start. I know I’ve not really shared a lot with ya’ll in the last several months (life has just been crazy, work has been busy, and I’ve had the worst case of “writers block” ever) but I’m so thankful for all the prayers and messages! Ya’ll are amazing.
So it’s a time to say goodbye to one crazy, long year and hello to a new year that’s going to be full of wonder, adventure, and blessings!
There’s something about starting a new year that I love. Most people wouldn’t suggest to wait to until January the 1st to make changes, but I say its okay as long as you are preparing for the 1st. Let’s start preparing…
- Create a work space! Even if you aren’t the CEO of some grand company, you need a work space. Find an area in your home and make it your “desk”. This is where I do my bills, grocery list, contracts, and all the things working moms do!
- Declutter every single area of your life. Unnecessary things can be found everywhere. Things that will keep you from achieving the goals you have set for yourself. This could also be people or maybe even places.
- Make a change. It could be rearranging your favorite space or cleaning out the garage. This will freshen things up and get to motivated to keep those changes coming.
- Kick the negativity out the door. Don’t allow those that aren’t in your corner to plant roots around you. They will restrict you.
- Set yourself a budget and add a category for vacation! Start saving now for your 2020 vacay. As hard as you plan on working to achieve everything you want to achieve, you’ll need a good vacation!
- Be good to yourself every single day. It’s okay to think about yourself sometimes! Set aside at least an hour a day for yourself. My “me time” is normally after the kiddos are in bed and the house is cleaned! It may be late before I can think about myself but it helps me to regroup and prepare for the next day.
- After you apply these, you can think about the new year! Make a list of the things that you want to achieve in the next year and put this list where you can see it everyday!! These can be things you had planned to do in 2019 but failed to push yourself to do them… Take notes and figure out a plan. Don’t give up until they are accomplished.

“The best time for new beginnings, is now.”
This next year is our year to feel more accomplished and revived than ever before. One of my main goals in 2020 is to make every single day mean something.
I would love for you all to find the “Contact Us” tab and the top of the page and send me some of your goals for the next year so I can be praying over them and you this year. There is nothing in the world more powerful than prayer and determination, so let’s put the two together.
Cheers!!
