In the mist of all the craziness in the world right now (that has had me a little anxious and worried), I thought I would share some things that make my heart smile! I hope it helps you realize that there’s at least 100 things in your life that makes you happy too!
- My amazing kiddos.
- Traveling to new places, even if they are close!
- Blogging seems to help me clear my mind at night.
- Jesus and all His goodness!
- A good run around the park.
- Random acts of kindness!!
- Dance parties with the kiddos, especially in the car!
- Candles! I love to light all the candles after I get the house clean!
- A clean house. (YES! With all my candles.)
- The lake brings me back to myself!
- Pedicures. I love to have my feet rubbed and I’ll pay for it if I have to!
- Throw blankets! I keep the temperature in the house low enough all year long to use a good throw blanket!
- Sleeping in!
- Iced Coffee, I don’t think I could make it some days without it.
- Meeting new people.
- Netflix. I love watching what I want, when I want.
- A long hot shower.
- Getting my hair done! Nothing makes me feel better than fresh hair!
- Crafting with the kids.
- Plants! I wish I had a green thumb…
- Music. I like all kinds of music, just turn it up so we can sing and dance.
- Shopping online.
- Church! Gathering together with like minded people, amazing.
- Watching my kids perform! They love their sports and seeing them do what they love makes me so content.
- Weddings! Mainly designing them, but attending is fun too!
- Target. Their dollar spot is my happy place! I find some adorable stuff for the kiddos in there.
- Decluttering.
- The sound of a guitar. I need someone to come put me to sleep with one every night… thank you in advance.
- Baseball has always been a favorite and now I have a little man on the field.
- Hiking is the best way for me to unplug!
- New York City! Something about a big city makes me feel like I can do whatever I want to!
- Soft serve ice cream…. EVERY DAY!
- Home. There’s no place like home.
- Playing Phase 10. I could play this card game all night long.
- Being “Aunt B” to about 12 nieces and nephews.
- Free weekends.
- Boneless chicken! I do not eat anything on the bone!
- My best friends!
- Thunderstorms are the best sleep aid ever.
- My country. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the world.
- Learning new things.
- Shoes!! Although Chacos are my go to shoes, I have tons of others too!
- Naps. I love super long naps, even if it messes me up for the rest of the day (this almost never happens).
- Clean sheets! Talking about my naps made me think about my clean sheets!
- Homemade pizza.
- Summer time! I feel like activities are endless in the summer time.
- Cheese sticks. Goodness I could eat my weight in some cheese sticks.
- Cuddling!!
- A good TV series to binge watch.
- Podcast. This is new for me but I really enjoy them.
- Mexican food!! (I’m in desperate need of some cheese dip right now.)
- Road trips.
- Staying up late. I’ve never been one to have a great schedule…. and I seem to get more done of a night.
- Holidays. I get to see my family.
- Rainy days.
- Concerts! Another chance to sing and dance!
- Laying in the sun. Although it takes about 56 hours of sunshine to start my tan…. I love it! I get to nap the entire time.
- Eyes. I love to look people in the eyes, they are all so gorgeous!
- Bonfires make me so happy, I could sleep by one all night long.
- Taking pictures. I’m often told I take too many, but life is short and time flies by way too fast….
- Broadway shows.
- Taking off my bra before bed! I know that’s a little much… but it’s what I love! Ha.
- Cheesecake. Bring me some red velvet cheesecake and we can be best friends.
- Healthy relationships. There’s nothing better to have in your life than some good, intentional, healthy relationships!
- The Beach. Need I say more?
- To-do list. I probably write 2-3 to-do list a day… I don’t know why, most of them never get done.
- White chocolate covered strawberries.
- Bubble baths with a few candles and some music… I’ll be content for hours.
- Spring. Other than the 600 pounds of pollen, I love everything about spring time.
- Girl Scout cookies.
- Coaching is one of the most rewarding things I’ve had the privilege of doing.
- Hobby Lobby. If I’m having a bad day, I go to Hobby Lobby… problem solved!
- Breakfast for dinner. My dad also loved breakfast for dinner. It’s the best.
- The smell of lavender.
- Wrapping gifts. All the gifts under our tree always match. It’s my favorite.
- Fall activities. Corn mazes, bonfires, pumpkin patches, etc.
- Hugs. Especially long ones!
- Munchers! If you’re clueless, take a trip to the Tellico Beach Drive-In!
- Security. The best feeling in the world.
- Hillsong Worship! They have their own playlist in my phone and it was the best decision ever.
- My hair straightener. If you saw my hair before the straightener hits it, you’d love it too!
- The river. This has always been a place I can escape to.
- Fruit. Strawberries and green grapes are the best.
- Football games. I love to watch the Tennessee Vols.
- My job and the people I work with.
- Yoga pants always make me feel comfy and they don’t judge!
- Texas may be hot as heck, but I love the atmosphere and people there.
- The color white is so clean and refreshing.
- Steamed veggies!
- Sunglasses. My eyes are super sensitive to the sun!
- Tacos. Soft shell tacos with sour cream!
- Decorating. I love to redecorate areas or living spaces.
- Visiting downtown areas… They all offers something special.
- Old photos from the past makes me happy.
- Baby cuddles.
- Coffee shops are the best place to get last minute things done.
- Freshly cut grass! YES.
- Me time. I think all single moms can relate… actually all moms!
- A new planner. I almost never use the same one all year long because I love getting new ones.
- Laughter is seriously the best medicine for me.
